The Victorian Government has initiated an inquiry into workplace drug testing, with a focus on medicinal cannabis. The committee responsible for the inquiry is currently seeking submissions. Whilst this is a Victorian inquiry, it has the potential to influence approaches in other jurisdictions. Ai Group will be making a submission to the Inquiry and, to ensure that all of the critical issues are considered, we need to hear from employers who have dealt with this issue in their workplace.
Queensland Workers’ Compensation Regulatory Services is currently consulting with their Stakeholder Reference Group, including Ai Group, on the recommendations of the 2023 review of the operation of the Queensland workers’ compensation scheme.
