The Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement (TTRMA) provides that goods that can legally be sold in New Zealand can be sold in Australia, and vice versa is now 20 years old. At the time, the Agreement created a world-leading trade framework. But it is evident that regulatory and other barriers have started to creep in, and these have weakened the Agreement.
