On 27 October 2022, the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Secure Jobs, Better Pay) Bill 2022 (Cth) (Amendment Bill) was tabled in parliament. Ai Group holds significant concerns about elements of the Bill and will continue to engage closely with the Government and Parliament in order to secure amendments to it.

This report summarises, at a high-level, the key proposed changes in the Amendment Bill.

We encourage members to provide us with their feedback on the proposed changes as soon as practicable. Ai Group’s submissions on the proposed changes are due by 11 November 2022. We will be continuing to press the Government for improvements to the Amendment Bill prior to this date.
