Significant Workplace Relations Issues Report August 2019:

“In a speech on 24 June, Prime Minister Scott Morrison stated that he has asked Industrial Relations Minister Christian Porter “to take a fresh look at how the system is operating and where there may be impediments to shared gains for employers and employees”. He said that “any changes in this area must be evidence-based, protect the rights and entitlements of workers and have clear gains for the economy and for working Australians”. Ai Group wrote to the Prime Minister on 1 July welcome his focus on industrial relations in the above speech and identifying some key workplace relations priorities for industry.”
