The Australian Industry Group is delighted to congratulate Megan Lilly on her appointment to the newly established Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA) Ministerial Advisory Board.
The Board will provide independent, expert and strategic advice to Minister for Skills and Training Brendan O’Connor and JSA Commissioner Professor Barney Glover, whose five-year term begins in April.
The appointed Board members will help plan for the nation’s skills, labour market and workforce needs, and their strategic advice will ensure gender equality and the economic inclusion of First Nations peoples, Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people with disability are integral to JSA’s work.
Ms Lilly, Executive Director of the Ai Group Centre for Education and Training, has been appointed as joint Deputy Chair.
She said it was an honour to represent employers on the board.
“There is so much happening in the skills, education and training space,” Ms Lilly said.
“It is hard to imagine a time when skills have been more important.
“Jobs and Skills Australia and its Ministerial Advisory Board have important work to do in driving the skills agenda for the nation.
I’m looking forward to continuing to contribute to the exciting progress being made and working with other Board members and stakeholders.”
