Ai Group is bringing HR Fundamentals to Wollongong for a face-to-face workshop covering two of the most popular sessions:

  • Conducting Workplace Investigations, and
  • Managing Misconduct

Ai Group invites members to the workshop with Daniel Murray, the primary legal presenter in the HR Fundamentals series.

Daniel will present the session and will invite attendees to discuss and ask questions about their own experiences in those areas.

Conducting Workplace Investigations

This session will provide key recommendations and practical guidance on:

  • when investigations are appropriate;
  • suitable planning and communication with participants;
  • how investigations ought to be conducted (and the relevance of underpinning industrial instruments, employment contracts, company policies and practices);
  • how the allegations should be formulated;
  • gathering evidence and relevant considerations when making findings; and
  • interim measures whilst the investigation is being conducted.

Managing Misconduct
This session will provide key recommendations and practical guidance on:

  • ensuring employees understand the business’s position on unacceptable behaviour, including relevant ‘out-of-hours conduct’;
  • identifying and promptly addressing misconduct concerns; and that measures taken to address conduct issues are both reasonable and consistent with requirements outlined in an industrial instrument/ employment contract/ policy or procedure.

Please also pass on the invitation to others you feel will gain value from the session.
