This video focuses on the changes to the process for approving enterprise agreements. NB: The video primarily covers the approval process for a single enterprise agreement, which is not a greenfields agreement. There are some different rules and processes that will apply for multi-employer agreements and for greenfields agreements.

Once the majority of voting employees have voted in favour of a new enterprise agreement, an application must be made to the Fair Work Commission seeking that it be approved before it comes into operation. Following the Government’s changes under the ‘Secure Jobs Better Pay’ amendments to the Fair Work Act, the things that the Fair Work Commission will consider as part of this approval process have changed.
