It’s National Safe Work Month in October and a good time to revisit best practice when it comes to responding to safety incidents in the workplace. No job should be unsafe or dangerous, but what do we do when a safety incident happens?
According to preliminary data from Safe Work Australia, in Australia last year around 163 people died while doing their job. Additionally, around 120,300 people made a workers’ compensation claim for serious injury or illness from 2019 to 2020.
There are strict obligations on employers when safety incidents occur, especially if they are serious enough to be “notifiable” (which doesn’t necessarily mean that anyone was injured).
In this webinar, our panel of guests discussed about safety incidents and how your business should respond.
