Recent months have seen a number of damaging data breaches across Australia, resulting in the loss of significant amounts of personal data.

This has prompted much public discussion regarding the obligations on companies that hold personal data, including indications that the Government is considering legislative changes in this space. It has also led many companies to question their practices – and obligations – in respect of data privacy.

In response to this, Ai Group and Ai Group Workplace Lawyers were holding a webinar for members regarding privacy. In this webinar our panellists discussed:

  • Current obligations on companies regarding personal data, particularly in relation to employee personal data;
  • Discussion of potential amendments to privacy regulations; and Practical tips around maintaining privacy.

Presenters:

Amber Roncoroni, Special Counsel, Ai Group Workplace Lawyers

Emma Goodwin, Legal Practice Director, Ai Group Workplace Lawyers

Susan Reece Jones, Legal Practice Director, Ai Group Corporate & Commercial Law

Mark Schmidt, IT Director, Ai Group
