On 22 December 2023, Ai Group filed a submission in the Fair Work Commission concerning the Modern Awards Review 2023–24 (Review) regarding the issue of making awards easier to use. Our submission relates to five of the seven most commonly used awards that are being considered in this part of the Review: the General Retail Industry Award 2020, the Fast Food Industry Award 2020, the Children’s Services Award 2010, the Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020 and the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. We have advanced numerous proposals that would make these awards simpler, easier and more flexible.
