The Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Bill 2023 (Closing Loopholes Bill or Bill) was introduced into the Australian Parliament on 4 September 2023.
The Closing Loopholes Bill proposes amendments to the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) (FW Act)
and related laws. It deals with casual employment, employee/independent contractor
arrangements, labour hire arrangements, delegates' rights and union rights of entry, road
transport, unfair contracts, wage-theft, sham contracting, small business redundancy
exemption, family and domestic violence discrimination, industrial manslaughter and enterprise agreements.
