The Superannuation Guarantee (SG), which is currently 9.5%, is set to increase to 10% from 1 July 2021. This increase is the first of five annual scheduled increases that will see the SG rate reach 12% from 1 July 2025.

The Government indicated that it was considering introducing legislation into Parliament that would revoke the planned increase. It has not done this and the scheduled rise from 9.5% to 10% will proceed.
