NAT 109/20: New portable long service leave scheme in the community services industry in Queensland:

Legislation has been passed in Queensland establishing a portable long service leave scheme for the community services industry in Queensland. The new scheme will allow community services workers in Queensland to accumulate service across the community sector as a whole.

The scheme broadly covers community services workers, including administrative staff and other workers supporting the provision of community services and is financed by a levy on employers calculated on the earnings of workers covered by the scheme. The scheme will commence on 1 January 2021.
