NAT 097/20: Western Australia pass WHS Act: Implementation expected in 2021:

Western Australia has recently passed their version of the Model Work Health and Safety Act. The Act received Royal Assent on 10 November 2020, but the substantive provisions of the Act will commence on a date to be proclaimed. It is our understanding that the Act will not become law until the Regulations have been finalised. This is likely to occur in the latter part of 2021. Employers can and should start preparing now.
