NAT 026/19: FWC Annualised Wage Arrangements Decision – Options for employers:
As discussed in Member Advice Nat 013/19, the Fair Work Commission (FWC) has decided to make major changes to the annualised wage arrangements clauses in around 20 awards which include these clauses.
The new clauses will be a lot more onerous for employers. They will impose detailed obligations regarding record-keeping and require that the employer carry out a periodic reconciliation of hours worked against hours paid.
Employers would be wise to start planning for the introduction of the new clauses without delay.
