NAT 011/19: New protections for ‘whistleblowers’ are about to commence:
From 1 July 2019, the Treasury Laws Amendment (Enhancing Whistleblower Protections) Act 2019, which amends the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) (the Corporations Act) and the Taxation Administration Act 1953 (Taxation Act), will commence operating. These amendments will substantially increase the protections which apply to certain individuals
(‘whistleblowers’) who report misconduct in relation to the operation of particular organisations.
