"The welcome return of more workers to Victorian offices will provide greater flexibility and efficiency for business as they adjust to a new way of working," Victorian Head of Ai Group, Tim Piper, said today
"This new way of work will be different for each business and the increase in the number of workers allowed back into offices provides flexibility to implement the arrangements that best meet the needs of business and their employees.
"The return of 75% of public and private sector workers is positive for businesses and employees. It gives a chance to work together, recognise the value of interaction with one another and maintain the culture of businesses.
"It will be especially important to regional and suburban businesses.
"There are some tasks that just can't be done remotely, and businesses can now work towards increasing the efficiency of their operations.
"We have heard from many businesses that employees are looking forward to the return of face-to-face interaction with their colleagues.
"Business continues to respond positively to the challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic and we will work with the State Government to encourage the return of all office workers as soon as possible," Mr Piper said.
