Ai Group is urging manufacturers in Victoria to apply for a new round of government grants of between $50,000 and $250,000.

The Made in Victoria – Manufacturing Growth Program Round 2 will help SMEs to:

  • expand their capacity and capability by implementing new manufacturing technologies,
  • improve productivity and supply chain competitiveness,
  • create new jobs
  • upskill and reskill workers and
  • support Victoria’s transition towards net zero emissions.

Jenny Berry, Ai Group’s Regional Manager (Victoria), said the program provided a tremendous opportunity for the state’s manufacturers to boost growth and innovation.

Recipients of the first round of 2023 grants were recently announced, with 14 manufacturers sharing $3.2million of funding and creating 138 new jobs.

Manufacturing is a driving force of the Victorian economy, employing more than 260,000 people and contributing about $31billion to the state’s economy a year.
