An important part of excellent candidate care is to ensure that applicants are keep up to date about key components of the recruitment process, even if they are unsuccessful. It is considered best practice to take the time to call an applicant after the interview to advise that they have not been successful through to the short list, however this may not be possible due to the scale of the process and industry.

For this reason, and to succeed in dealing with the volume of large recruitment processes, automation has become instrumental in managing the communication with candidates. It allows the manual work to be removed by using technology, digitalisation and pre-prepared templates. Employers can use this resource as part of their automated system or manually use to effectively communicate with candidates.

This Sample: Unsuccessful Post Interview Notification Email will assist empoyees when notifying job applicants that they have not progressed to the next stage in the recruitment process (e.g. this may be to another interview or testing).
