Australian PMI®: Manufacturing expands in June
The Australian Industry Group Australian Performance of Manufacturing Index (Australian PMI®) moved into positive territory in June, increasing by 9.9 points to 51.5 (readings above 50 points indicate expansion in activity, with higher results indicating a faster rate of expansion).

FWC extends COVID-19 schedule in the Clerks Award
"Ai Group welcomes today's decision of a Full Bench of the Fair Work Commission to extend the operation of core elements of the COVID-19 schedule in the Clerks Award until the end of September, despite strong opposition from the unions. Trying to reintroduce unnecessary rigidities into the workplace makes no economic or employment sense at this time," Innes Willox, Chief Executive of the national employer association Ai Group said today.

Each month Ai Group releases real-time performance indices for the manufacturing, services and construction sectors. These national indices are constructed from survey data collected from business Australia-wide on a representative sample bases.

PMI

The Australian Performance of Manufacturing Index demonstrates performance across a number of manufacturing sectors. Participate in the survey to improve our representation of Australian businesses in manufacturing.
