The Australian Industry Group (Ai Group®) is a peak employer organisation representing traditional, innovative and emerging industry sectors. While a truly national organisation, Ai Group has a strong presence in Queensland, providing a range of services out of our Brisbane office.

Industry representation

Ai Group's Queensland staff sit on a number of State advisory bodies, ensuring the voice of industry is heard by decision makers. These include:

• Ministerial Manufacturing Council: Provides high-level industry advice on strategic matters in relation to building and promoting industry and manufacturing in Queensland to help drive economic, regional and employment growth throughout the state.
• Ministerial Energy Council: The peak forum between government and industry about issues and opportunities for the energy sector. This also includes co-chairing the Renewables sub-committee.
• Procurement Industry Advisory Council: Pupose is to develop a closer working relationship between government and industry, by providing co-ordinated industry advice on matters of strategic importance between government and stakeholders 
• Small Business Industry Roundtable: A regular forum to provide updates relevant to small businesses in Queensland and provide industry feedback on issues affecting small businesses through-out the state.
• Infrastructure Industry Steering Committee: Seeks to drive collaboration between industry and government to create a more sustainable industry and deliver better value for money for infrastructure investment
• Queensland Women’s Strategy Advisory Committee: Established to help guide the development of the new Queensland Women’s Strategy and assist with ongoing implementation.
• COVID Response and Disaster Recovery: Various groups that are stood up in times of disaster to provide advice and industry feedback.  These include Premier’s Queensland Industry Alliance, Essential Goods Supply Committee, Economic Recovery Committee and the Agriculture Communication Group.
• Energy Queensland Customer & Community Council: Purpose is to explore strategic issues and other matters relating to current and emerging needs of customers and community in relation to energy infrastructure, services, and the provision of energy solutions across Queensland.

• Jobs Townsville North Queensland: An advisory board for DESBT linking industry to skills and jobs needs for NQ
• North Queensland Hydrogen Working Group: An advisory group incorporating all key stakeholders in the NQ Hydrogen space across Government, Hydrogen proponents, Industry end users  logistics, regulatory etc.
