Do you have a burning Health and Safety question that needs answering?

Everyone present on a worksite, whether a paid employee, volunteer, work experience student or visitor, needs to know how to avoid risks to health. Inductions comprising clear instructions, information and adequate training must be provided for anyone who could be exposed to hazards.

Consider how much training is necessary. A low-risk business would not need lengthy technical training; providing simple information or instructions is likely to be sufficient.

In contrast, workers such as skilled tradespersons and licensed machine operators need to be provided with detailed training and information.
