This Probation Preformance Development Form can be used to record a development plan for new employees, and in particular to assist in ensuring that the new employee meets the required performance expectations during their induction or probationary period, and the learning and development plan that will support this.

It is essential that employees understand as soon as possible the expectations of the organisation and how success will be measured, as well as how the organisation will support them in reaching the objectives.

This form has been designed to be primarily addressed at the new employee.  Emphasising employee ownership of the plan will assist in ensuring that the employee takes equal responsibility in ensuring that they meet the performance expectations of the role.
