This letter can be used by employers to notify eligible employees of their ongoing eligibility to receive the JobKeeper Payment under the extended programme that came in effect from 28 September 2020 until 28 March 2021.  

Significant changes have been made to the operation of the JobKeeper scheme from 28 September 2020. Under the extended scheme, the JobKeeper Payment will be based on a two-tiered system. 

The tier 1 rate of pay will apply to eligible employees who were working an average of at least 20 hours per week in the four weeks before 1 March 2020 or 1 July 2020. The tier 2 rate will apply to all other eligible employees.

The amount of the JobKeeper Payment will reduce for fortnights commencing 28 September 2020, and will further reduce for the fortnights commencing 4 January 2021 until the JobKeeper scheme ends on 28 March 2021.
The applicable rates of pay set out in the table below:
