Workers impaired by alcohol and other drugs pose a serious health and safety risk to your business. They are also less productive; are more likely to be absent from work and have more disputes with their co-workers.  Even if drug and alcohol testing is justified, there is uncertainty about the most appropriate testing method. Dismissal because of a positive drug test or other related misconduct may result in a finding of unfair dismissal for your business.

  • Workplace legal obligations, including work health and safety;
  • Effective management of alcohol and other drug (AoD) use at work;
  • Development and implementation of workplace policies dealing with AoD use; and
