To facilitate effective consultation and communication many organisations use the format of ‘toolbox talks’ to communicate information on hazards and how the organisation is managing the risks.
This Toolbox Talk topic provides standard information on electrical safety which can be shared with workers to enable discussion on the hazards and provide an opportunity to consult on the best ways to manage this risk within the workplace.
Toolbox Talk information should be tailored to the workplace in accordance with the facilitator’s notes guidance material.
Once the Toolbox Talk has been communicated and employees have been consulted, and had their views heard, records of discussions and actions should be recorded on the Toolbox Talk Record Form.
