All organisations should have an agreed procedure when responding to safety or workers’ compensation issues in the workplace. This Issue Resolution Process is a great starting point for businesses to develop their own procedures or improve what they have. 

Organisations are encouraged to review their procedure regularly with workers to ensure it reflects how they identify and resolve disputes should issues not be resolved in the first instance. If an issue is not able to be resolved internally businesses need to make sure that their procedure considers an external independent person to assist with the situation.
