Many organisations choose to provide eligible employees with a successful probation letter to formally capture the outcome of the probation period.

This Sample: Successful Probation Letter should only be provided following the successful review of the employee’s ability to meet and/or exceed the inherent requirements of the position based on what is expected and reasonable at this time of their employment journey. This template is an example only and should be updated to meet the unique needs of the organisation

Employers are encouraged to remember that it is important to assess an employee’s overall fit to the organisation, including the values and behaviours that are demonstrated during the probation period. They must also follow appropriate procedures and ensure that employee rights have been upheld.

Members are encouraged to contact Ai Group’s Workplace Advice Line on 1300 55 66 77 for further assistance or Ai Group’s Workplace Lawyers for specific legal advice.
