This Performance Improvement Plan Meeting Checklist  should be utilised by managers/supervisors prior to the initial meeting with an underperforming employee who is about to go onto a Performance Improvement Plan.

In dealing with ongoing or significant unsatisfactory performance or behavioural issues, managers should adequately prepare for the initial meeting before speaking with the employee on a formal basis.
