Through the Australian Small Business Advisory Service, Bob was engaged by an adventure tourism operator as a Business Advisor to assist to sustainably grow the business. Working with the client, Bob provided guidance on market research and the development of strategies to achieve higher participation rates from tourists and adventure seekers. Focus then turned to strategic planning to grow the business where resource requirements were assessed and prioritised planning actions developed to guide the business owners through the growth phase.

This client’s operation is continuing to grow and is increasingly attracting the targeted markets sought.

Bob was engaged by an agricultural grower to provide strategic business support for preparing for entry into export markets. Extensive research and analysis of market intelligence was undertaken and a comprehensive Export Plan developed reporting on supply chains, entry strategies, relationship development, and the laws, rules and regulations for countries to be targeted. Product presentation was reviewed, logistics and product handling options were assessed, risk mitigation strategies developed, and potential partners assessed after the implementation of intellectual property protection strategies. Upon completion of Bob’s engagement with the client, this highly regarded agricultural operation commenced and continues to successfully export their produce from Australia.

Bob was engaged by a manufacturing business as a Business Strategy Mentor to dissect and grow the business through the relocation of one of the business’s divisions. The project encompassed comprehensive research and analysis of markets and growth sectors which informed the development of strategic planning documents to guide the client through the change management process. Risk management, human resources, marketing and operational strategies were developed to set the foundation for sustainable and controlled growth. This business is now operating in multiple regional centres throughout Queensland.
