The Italian Minister of Defense, Sen. Roberta Pinotti, the President of AIAD, Hon. Guido Crosetto, the President of AIDN, Mr Alan Rankins, and the Head of Influence and Policy at Ai Group, Dr Peter Burn, confirmed their commitment to collaborate in activities of common interest in both Italy and Australia.
This MoU further advances the existing collaborative relationship between the two countries and supports the previously signed national MoUs covering science and technology cooperation, defence materiel, defence industry and trade cooperation. It will also provide a platform for University and research institutions to engage with the industrial sector.
The Australian Government's commitment to increased investment in a range of programs, such as the Future Frigate Program for the Royal Australian Navy, offers considerable scope for building on its growing relationship with the Italian defence industry.
