Australia is currently experiencing an extremely tight labour market. This is posing significant workforce shortages for Australian employers, at all skill levels, that are negatively impacting productivity, growth and financial performance. These shortages exist nationally but are often particularly pronounced in regional areas.

A key priority for the incoming Federal Government must be to address chronic skills and labour shortages, in partnership with industry and a broad range of other stakeholders.

This webinar drew on Ai Group’s extensive research and deep engagement with member businesses across a broad range of industries to highlight:

• the impact of skills and workforce shortages on Australian businesses and how they are responding;
• how these shortages may evolve over the coming 1-2 years; and
• key policy priorities for addressing these shortages.
