As Chief Engineer for the Victorian Government, Luke Belfield and the Office of Projects Victoria will be responsible for the development of proposals to improve the way projects are designed and delivered by increasing the uptake of modern methods of construction.
In this webinar, Luke outlined the implementation of offsite construction in Victorian government projects and spoke about the Government’s forthcoming Offsite Construction Guide.
We also heard from Ai Group’s Lindsay Le Compte, General Manager (Construction and Infrastructure), on the key procurement issues that industry will need to address over the balance of the decade and beyond. This included an assessment of the recent report of the Commonwealth Parliament’s Standing committee on Infrastructure and recent reports released by Infrastructure Australia.
