On 9 December 2020, the Federal Government introduced the Fair Work Amendment (Supporting Australia’s Jobs and Economic Recovery) Bill 2020 into Parliament. Overall the Bill, when passed by Parliament, will deliver a series of worthwhile changes to the IR system that will provide opportunities for more productive and flexible workplaces. Ai Group has been heavily involved in the development of the Bill and we have worked hard, on Members’ behalf, to achieve a worthwhile outcome. The Bill would make substantial changes to the provisions in the Fair Work Act (FW Act) which deal with casual employment, awards, enterprise agreements, compliance and enforcement.
