In June 2021 (Q2), spending on intellectual property by Australian businesses recovered by 9.1% from a recent low one year earlier. Intellectual property spending in Q2 2021 included $3.6bn on R&D, $4.9bn on computer software and $0.4bn on ‘original artistic works’, according to the ABS National Accounts.
