The Fair Work Amendment (Contractor High Income Threshold) Regulations 2024 (Cth) has been registered by the Australian Government.

The regulations set the contractor high income threshold at $175,000 for the year commencing on 1 July 2024, and prescribe a formula for calculating the threshold in future years on and from 1 July 2025. The contractor high income threshold is relevant for several provisions of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) which will be introduced by the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes (No. 2)) Act 2024 (Cth) on 26 August 2024.
