This Member Advice provides important information about the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR):

• Ai Group needs to engage with Members who import the listed products or goods that incorporate these products as base materials into European Union market:

o cattle
o wood
o cocoa
o soy
o palm oil
o coffee
o rubber
o leather
o chocolate
o tyres
o furniture

• The regulation will come into effect on December 30, 2024, for large companies and June 30, 2025, for SMEs (employ fewer than 250 employees and have an annual turnover not exceeding 50 million euro, and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding 43 million euro).

• The EUDR will impose additional supply chain management and reporting obligations on Australian businesses exporting affected products to the EU.
