Queensland – New Codes OF Practice for Psychosocial Hazards and Crystalline Silica

Queensland have published new Codes of Practice for psychosocial risks (effective 1 April 2023) and crystalline silica (effective 1 May 2023).

ACT – Crystalline Silica WHS Regulations

In June 2022, the ACT government introduced new regulations for crystalline silica. In response to industry concerns the implementation of the regulations were delayed for all silica work other than engineered stone.

Since that time Ai Group has been working closely with the government to achieve an approach that can be practically applied in the broad range of workplaces impacted. The final regulations came into effect on 2 November 2022 and provide more flexibility for businesses to select appropriate control measures.
