This Compliance Advice provides important information about:

• Changes to workers’ compensation in New South Wales: legislative changes; new 'Standards of Practices' for insurers and 'Workers Compensation Guidelines'; and a new ‘Employer Lookup Tool’ to make sure contractors have the necessary workers’ compensation policies.
• National Heavy Vehicle Laws: these laws impact every business and person in the supply chain involved in the movement of goods utilising a heavy vehicle (one that is over 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass). A new Industry Code has been released and a review of the laws has commenced.
• The Productivity Commission Inquiry into Mental Health: Issues Paper released and a
  Victorian Royal Commission announced. We need member input, including case studies, to support our submissions.
• The review of National Assessment Instruments: we are seeking contributions from
  technical experts for 13 high risk licence categories.
