She’s studying for her third degree, raising two young children and living the dream on acreage near the vineyards of the Hunter Valley.

Meet Newcastle’s Angela Bryant.

When did you start?

February 2022

Position?

Senior Adviser / Graduate Lawyer

What attracted you to Ai Group Workplace Lawyers?

It was the opportunity to work with a variety of businesses in terms of size and type. It’s a role that enables me to strengthen my HR experience while developing my legal skills. Before coming to Ai Group Workplace Lawyers, I was an HR manager, but I also have a law degree. Working here is a perfect match for me. There was no other option; I just had to go for it!

How is it going so far?

I cannot speak highly enough of the people that I work with. Everyone has been so supportive and friendly. The wealth of knowledge my colleagues have is phenomenal. Someone in the business is always able to answer my questions or knows where to find the answer. I have been welcomed with open arms.

Was the work-life balance embraced at Ai Group Workplace Lawyers a dealbreaker?

Yes. All the way through the recruitment process, everyone talked about how flexible Ai Group is and how everyone is encouraged to balance commitments and family with work.

At one stage, I had contemplated going into a bigger firm, but I felt such a move wouldn’t meet my needs, including my family life. Ai Group Workplace Lawyers gives me the flexibility I want. I can’t ask for more.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

I have two small children who take up most of my time. I’m also doing a psychology degree in the background. We live on 10 acres, so we like to spend time outside, in the veggie patch and the like.

If a friend were considering working at Ai Group Workplace Lawyers, what would you say?

Don’t hesitate to apply! It’s a fabulous place to work and you won’t ever regret the decision. Ai Group Workplace Lawyers has so many experiences to offer. It would suit anybody.
