The New Education and Training Model (NETM), being rolled out by the Western Parkland City Authority in NSW, is building a steady stream of micro-credentials, with 11 micro-credentials currently running and another 12 under development. The courses are fully-funded by the NSW Government, so enrolment is free for learners and businesses.

Enrolments are currently being sought for the following two microcredentials and registration can be made through the links:

Quickstep: Introduction to Manual Composite Layup Techniques, 7 November 2022
GE Additive: Essentials of Additive Manufacturing, 8 November 2022 (face-to-face course)

For those not familiar with the concept, these micro-credentials are small-scale, 40-hour training courses designed to rapidly upskill workers with practical, hands-on and job-ready experience, and designed to either build on existing knowledge or introduce learners to emerging technologies. Other micro-credentials are being delivered in early 2023. To see the full list and register your interest, see the Course Catalogue here.

If you think you have a skills gap that could be resolved by a new micro-credential and would like to discuss this with the NETM, please email netm@wpca.sydney.
