Ai Group’s Centre for Education and Training collaborator, QUT Business School, is hosting a webinar series in partnership with MIT Sloan School of Management - the business school of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a world leader in education, research and innovation.
This series will leverage the work and knowledge of world-renowned business and transformation experts to explore actionable practices and design principles that organisational leaders can apply today for decisive, strategic planning of their future enterprise.
Shifts the notion of a ‘A Sense of Ambition’ and explores how organisations no longer rely on the narrative of a burning platform, but proactively articulate desired roadmaps. Instead of resourcing the fixing of current problems, they invest their resources into overcoming roadblocks in the way towards their ambitious goals. They are as comfortable with design as they are with analysis.
Curious organisations have a competitive advantage as they identify possible areas for first moves early. However, there are two related challenges: How do we embed, nurture, or even institutionalise a curious enterprise? And how can organisations identify and treat opportunity points? Pragmatic and proven approaches will be shared including lenses of innovation, which have been used with thousands of executives to become rigorous in the satisfaction of curiosity.
Once an over-supply of opportunities has been identified, curiosity needs to convert to commitment. This is when confidence needs to be replaced with evidence, when opportunity costs matter as much as cost and when dominating decision making processes are no longer sufficient. The webinar will explore enterprises that approach their future with decisiveness and discuss the related processes, methods and decision-making models.
