  • Defence Science Institute (DSI) Subsidy

The DSI program provides funding to companies that host PhD candidates to support research and development activities. This subsidy can cover up to 50% of the cost of hosting a PhD candidate in your company. Eligible businesses can receive a $10,000 subsidy to access academic expertise through APR.Intern’s short-term PhD student research placements.

  • Defence Science Centre (DSC) Subsidy

The Defence Science Centre (DSC) WA is providing financial support to eligible Defence businesses with a $10,000 APR.Intern subsidy. This subsidy can cover up to 50% of the cost of hosting a PhD candidate in your company. To be eligible, your proposal must have Defence relevance, and your company must be a DSC participant or an SME.

  • MTPConnect REDI Subsidy

MedTech and Pharma Growth Centre (MTPConnect) REDI initiative provides eligible businesses with a $10,000 subsidy when engaging a PhD student through APR.Intern. The subsidy is designed to increase workforce capabilities and strengthen research translation within Australia’s medtech, biotech and pharmaceutical sector.

The three subsidies, listed above, can also be combined with APR.Intern’s Women in STEM $7,500 subsidy, if the business engages a female postgraduate research student intern.
