Cupcaking against cruelty
Now that Master Chef is over for the year, budding bakers can turn their attention to a very worthy cause. It's likely that Callum, the so-called ‘dessert king', will be very interested in trying his hand at some cupcakes for the RSPCA's annual ‘Cupcake Day', which raises funds to help support the RSPCA's ongoing battle to prevent animal cruelty.

The RSPCA is not a government agency and therefore relies on the generosity of the community to support its vital daily work. Cupcake Day, set for August 16th this year, is one of its most important fundraising ventures. It is the biggest bakeoff in the Southern Hemisphere and involves cupcake cooks around Australia baking cupcakes and hosting a cupcake party to raise vital funds for the RSPCA. To see how fundraising and donations directly help to save lives, read some stories on the RSPCA website.
