Real results

Ai Group has a positive working relationship with the Federal Government. This is demonstrated by:

  • Ai Group has a leading role on the Government's Business Advisory Group, assisting to shape the new workplace relations system.
  • Ai Group Chief Executive, Heather Ridout, has been appointed to the Government's Taxation System Review.
  • We are also represented on Skills Australia and the Infrastructure Australia Council.
  • Deputy Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, was keynote speaker at Ai Group's PIR Conference in Canberra, on the day she was sworn into office.
  • Treasurer, Wayne Swan, made his first major speech at an Ai Group hosted business leaders function in Sydney in December 2007.
  • Minister for Climate Change and Water, Penny Wong, outlined the Government's climate change agenda at an Ai Group function in Melbourne in February 2008.
