Ai Group Comment on Government's Energy Green Paper
"The Energy Green Paper released today outlines a number of encouraging reforms to improve Australia's energy markets and ease the energy price pressure that industry has grappled with in recent years. As the Energy Green Paper states, there is no single ?silver bullet' solution to fixing distortions in Australia's energy markets that have led to increasing cost burdens for industry. But reforms outlined in the Energy Green Paper have potential to make a significant improvement," Australian Industry Group Chief Executive Innes Willox said today.

Draft Report from the Competition Review Panel
"The Australian Industry Group welcomes today's draft report from the Competition Review panel led by Professor Ian Harper. This inquiry is the first comprehensive review of Australia's competition framework since the Hilmer report in 1993," Australian Industry Group Chief Executive Innes Willox said today.

Coastal Shipping Restrictions In Need Of Reform
"The current restrictions on Australia?s coastal shipping are needlessly wasteful and are imposing unnecessary inconvenience and costs on Australian business and the community," Innes Willox, Chief Executive of the Australian Industry Group said today.
