BIZassistBriefings

Each year up to 5,000 members keep a step ahead in business by attending our regular BIZassistBriefings.

BIZassistBriefings are a time efficient means of getting up to speed on the current issues and assessing their likely impact on your business, as well as providing the practical tips and tools necessary for managing the issue back in the workplace.

The briefings are run three times per year - usually in March, July and November, and are held in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia at more than 40 metropolitan and regional centres.

New look BIZassistBriefings

In response to members' feedback, a new look, three part BIZassistBriefing format has been developed. Members have the option of attending any or all of the following sessions:

Your Business Employment Issues
The latest policy, legislative and enterprise bargaining developments, as well as the topics requested by members are covered in this session. Case law developments and the use of case studies are a regular feature as well as an interactive session providing a chance for members to provide feedback on their workplace relations issues.

Your Business Safety and Sustainability
With less than 12 month until the new Workplace Health and Safety laws become effective, practical advice on what the new obligations are and how they might be practically implemented will be a common theme in upcoming sessions. As well, members receive updates on other safety and environmental policy and legislative developments, plus updates on what the regulators are focussed on. Responding to the challenge of climate change will also be an important feature and a case study approach will be employed to assist business develop their action plans.

Your Business Conditions, Improvement and Growth
This session provides an update on current business conditions as well as practical advice and information on the opportunities for members to grow and improve the efficiency of running their business. Updates on available government grants to support business aspirations will be a regular feature, as will practical advice on developing effective workforce development strategies.
